Printable Base 10 Blocks
(100s, 10s, 1s) Updated 4/25/08
I made the pieces bigger as the unit pieces were hard to keep up with.
I got this idea from an old math textbook. They suggested using real popsicle sticks with peas or beans glued to them for the tens blocks. I had made them before but the beans always came unglued.
This printable includes a tens/ones board and a few tips for teaching.

Nice for beginners. Base ten blocks are shown, student find the number in the bubbles that matches. My daughter enjoyed this game. Read the value in words at the top of the screen, click on pirate who shows this amount. Includes decimal place value problems.
Fun Brain Place Value Puzzler Funbrain will show you a number. Click on the digit in the number whose position is shown or correctly type in the rounded version of the number. Not overly exciting, but useful. Kind of a misnomer in my opinion, not really charts, but an interactive. Student makes a given number using the units (hundreds, tens, ones, etc) given. Nice activity. For lower levels, a number is given, for upper levels words are also given. Great for beginners and up. Enter the two digit number described by the graphics. With this manipulative, you can represent place value and exchanges in base 2, base 5, or base 10. Click on hundreds, tens, and ones, hit the button and it will show you what the number is in standard form.
