TJ's Muslim World Study takes a look at a different Islamic country

(as well as countries with significant Muslim populations).

each week during the study of the Muslim World Unit, insha Allah

Insha Allah we will study the geography of these places

 including the people, resources, foods, etc.

and look at current events happening there.

If you live in one of the countries in our studies

 (see 52 Week Outline home page),

we would love to hear from you whether from resources you can provide or anecdotes.

Also, if you know of any resources that might be helpful regardless of where you live,

please drop us a line also.

The general format for the Muslim World unit study will be to read about each country  and fill out a country fact sheet for each country. In addition, other activity ideas include making a recipe from that country and/or a craft.

Insha Allah the country fact sheets, maps, pictures and other items can be compiled into a Muslim World scrapbook.

Current Events Form

If you can't/don't use the current events form, here are some activity ideas:

List the 5Ws of an event (Who, What, When, Where, Why)

List/look up any unknown vocabulary words

Write/talk about the event. Give your opinion of the event.

Can you make any observations on the event that correlate with the Quraan or Sunnah

(i.e. was something haram done?)

Add to scrapbook; list the source/date of article.
